The best graphics card for you totally depends on multiple things such as what games you play and what resolution you play them on. Since I am still on 1080p I will tell you what I have ran lately I was running RX 480 s in crossfire but I have recently sold them due to the high demand for them for them fot the mining that is popular right now. I picked up a used GTX 980 TI and it is an absolute Beast for 1080p it's Overkill and I love it you can get it for Fairly cheap right now. Make sure you pick up a model where the warranty is transferable between owners AKA do not buy a Zotac. And I have a secondary PC that I keep as a entertainment unit for family use like watching Netflix surfing the net basically a family computer my son plays his games on it and I picked up a GTX 1050 TI for it I have to say I am completely satisfied and very impressed with that video card. I cannot get over how well it can run games at 1080p with fluid frame rates as in 60 + frames great bang for your buck totally underrated card. I have not moved up to 4K yet so I can not give you any advice on that but it definitely does not cost a fortune to be playing games nicely at 1080p these days.
